The requirement
EU Directive 2023/2673 requires all webshops selling to EU consumers to provide an electronic withdrawal button. The button must allow customers to withdraw from their purchase with one click within the withdrawal period.
Consequences of non-compliance
Webshops that fail to implement the withdrawal button risk an extended withdrawal period of up to 12 months for the customer. Additionally, fines of up to 50,000 EUR may be imposed.
